Bass warm up, don't hurt yourself!

A warm up is important for any musician on any instrument. Of all the bass warm ups I've ever learned, this is probably the one I still use every day.


We will start playing on the A string.

Note the illustrations below:

Right hand plucking (no picks please) alternating between the fore finger and the middle finger.

Left hand plays one note per beat, if you have a metronome set it to 100 beats per minute:

- 1 is fore finger
- 2 is middle finger
- 3 is ring finger
- 4 is pinky finger
