Bass lessons require a warm up, don't hurt yourself!A warm-up is important for any musician on any instrument. Of all the bass lessons I ever learned, this is probably the one I still use every day. We will start playing on the A string. Note the illustrations below: Right hand plucking (no picks please) alternating between the fore finger and the middle finger. Left hand plays one note per beat, if you have a metronome set it to 100 beats per minute: - 1 is fore finger - 2 is middle finger - 3 is ring finger - 4 is pinky finger G_________________________________________________ D|______|______|______|_____|_____|_____|_____|____|____ A|___1__|___2__|___3__|__4__|_____|_____|_____|____|____ E|______|______|______|_____|_____|_____|_____|____|____ SHIFT !
